Israel's Kent State: After Flotilla Massacre, The Lobby Blames The Victims

The usual suspects are already rushing to offer the usual double talk to defend what Israel did. Here is typical claptrap from the Israel-is-always-100%-right American Jewish Committee. Also AIPAC and its media acolytes are out there to tell us that the Israelis are the victims, and if you don't think so, you are an anti-semite. Or a self-hating Jew/

But the massacre happened in international waters and the attack was launched by military commandos against civilians trying to relieve other civilians suffering under an illegal blockade.

There is only one spot in this country where the lobby will be able to sell the story that the humanitarian flotilla was the aggressor and that Israel is the victim here. That is the United States Congress.

By Wednesday, your favorite liberal Democrat (let alone Republican) will be mouthing the talking points AIPAC distributed this morning. Don't let them get away with it. Get to Schumer, Boxer, Van Hollen, Grayson, Weiner, Hoyer and the others before they embarrass themselves by defending the indefensible.

For America's sake, for the sake of the people of Gaza, and for the sake of the good Israelis who hearts are broken by the latest crime done in their name, we need to make Congress understand that America and justice -- and, yes, the survival of the State of Israel -- needs to come before the demands of AIPAC. Enough is enough.

The word from Israel is that Rahm Emanuel invited Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to Washington for a kiss-and-makeup session this week. It will happen Tuesday.

Meanwhile, in Washington the word is that Obama will ease the pressure on settlements and the strangulation of Gaza to keep pro-Israel donors to the Democratic party writing checks for the November election.

I certainly don't know what will happen. However, given that nothing has changed since Bibi's last visit, any demonstration of love from the administration will be an proof that US policy is dictated by campaign contributions.

Obama needs to read the United Nations' latest report about how Israel continues to deepen its blockade of Gaza and is now ready to go to war with a humanitarian flotilla heading to Gaza to provide relief.

And then, of course, is General Petraeus' warning (speaking for the Pentagon) that Israel's occupation policies endanger US troops. These things matter. Not campaign contributions.

One last point: Israel is in trouble. At the present rate, the remarkable accomplishment that is Israel will be lost because the right (i.e, Netanyahu, AIPAC, etc) prefers the settlements, smashing Gaza and building in Arab East Jerusalem to Israel itself. So it's for Israel's sake, too, that the President must not yield to the pleas and blandishments of Netanyahu and his cutouts. As for the donors, tell them US foreign policy is not exchanged for campaign contributions.

Bottom line: unless Bibi is announcing a change in policy, a cold shoulder should is all he deserves from us.

Pro-Israel? Support an end to the occupation NOW. Anti-Israel? Stick with the status quo (AIPAC, Netanyahu, etc).

The New York Times has just published another major piece on the declining support for Israeli policies among American Jews. It is excellent reporting (replete with poll numbers) that confirms something most of us know: American Jews do not approve of the Israeli government, oppose the continued occupation, and support President Obama's policies over Prime Minster Netanyahu's.

And, least surprising of all, the "leadership" of the "major" Jewish organizations (AIPAC,American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League) speaks only for older Jews and not for that many of them.

All this is obvious, especially to those with kids. In this context, the "kids" range from teenage to about 63 (i.e., the baby boomers -- born between 1946 and 1964 -- and their children). The Woodstock generation did not turn into an amen corner for our own government, let alone Israel's. And our kids are even less accepting of dogma.

This is especially true of the so-called Millennials. These are the children of the younger boomers and demographers call them Millennials because they came of age in around 2000. They are in their mid-20's to early 30's now.

I have an alternate label for them. They are the "Jon Stewart" generation. Whether they watch Stewart's "Daily Show" when it's broadcast or just on YouTube, he typifies their world view. Not surprisingly, he is a late Baby Boomer, about the age of the parents of the youngest of the Millenials.

And what is the worldview Stewart conveys? It is skepticism about any and all ideology, a belief that racial and ethnic boundaries between people are just plain dumb, and, above all, that true believers in anything are downright funny.

Not surprisingly, Jon Stewart is Jewish and assertively so. Being a Jew is part of his shtick. But he's clearly neither religious nor an ethnic chauvinist. As for his politics on Israel, I'd classify him as J Street. And that makes him typical of both the late boomers and their kids.

That is why all the free Birthright trips to Israel aren't changing anything. And it's why those cheering young AIPAC-ers do not represent anything.

The generation coming up now tries to think for themselves. And, although no smart kid would ever turn down a free trip to Washington, DC or to any foreign country with a beach, they take the propaganda with a grain of salt. It does not matter that they are told that the Palestinians are responsible for their own problems, these kids don't buy it. And neither do their parents (although their grandparents might).
I know a little about this from personal experience. I was a pro-Israel activist back in my days on campus. I was the leader of about 50 kids (on a campus of several thousand) who tried to convince our indifferent fellow students of the importance of Israel.

I even was given a free trip to Israel where I was taught how to combat "anti-Israel" propaganda on campus. (It was not just a week, like the Birthright trip, but two free and wonderful months.)

All my friends (or almost all) felt about Israel the way I did then. We were an embattled minority, but we knew we were right. (The occupation, still new, was infinitely less onerous then than it is now. There were no more than a few thousand settlers. And, back then, no Arab state recognized Israel's right to exist.)
Today, not one of my friends from those days feels the way we did then. It is not so much that our feeling for Israel disappeared, but that the situation changed. Even in the 1970's, none of us would have supported a settler-dominated Israeli government or the horrific Gaza war.

But there is another element as well.
Even in those days, pro-Israel American kids were uncomfortable straying too far from the general campus ethos. Those were the days of the anti-war movement. Fortunately back then, Israel seemed to be pursuing peace while the Arabs weren't. There wasn't all that much space between us and our fellow students. The government in Israel was socialist, for heaven's sake, and the country's huge agricultural sector was dominated by communes! Israel was not that hard to defend.

But today there is a massive gap between the overall ethos and the pro-Israel one. Liberal young people, the kids who came out in unprecedented numbers for Obama, are not going to support Israeli policies designed to perpetuate an occupation by expelling Palestinians from their homes to make room for settlers. And the last thing that will convince them to support what they know is wrong is by telling them that "as Jews" they must. Or, God forbid, mentioning the Holocaust to justify those policies. They don't think that way. And history tells us that they never will.

Luckily, all is not lost for those of us who do care about Israel. No, the kids are not going to come around to seeing Israel as central in their lives. (It isn't -- they live here.)

But an Israel that establishes peace with the Palestinians, that brings the settlers home, that ends the tyranny of the Orthodox in matters that should be left to civil authorities, will have their support. Not their allegiance -- their support.

Why Israel Nuked Iran!!

Israel has finally come forward with an explanation for its nuclear attack on Iran.  Apparently, there was an incident five years ago when Chico, beloved donkey of Palestinian Muhammed Olivetree (both pictured to left), pooped on the shoe of an Israeli squatter who was busy chopping down the Olive trees owned by Mr. Olivetree.  The "Illegal" squatter, Ehud Killemall, immediately grabbed his fully-automatic M-16 (donated by Christian American fundamentalists) and fired at Chico as he trotted down the hill with Mr. Olivetree.  Israeli soldiers were able to apprehend the pair later that afternoon.

Mr. Olivetree pleaded innocent to charges of terrorism, but was sentenced to 5 years in prison; Chico was sent to a concentration camp for Palestinian animals - which is the same one used for Palestinian humans, since the Israelis don't see any difference between the two. 

Mr. Olivetree served the full five years and upon release from prison, immediately searched for his beloved Chico.  After a month, with the help of concentration camp inhabitants, the two were reunited.  Mr. Olivetree went back to his Olive tree grove, proudly riding on Chico's back.  However, Chico apparently still held a grudge against Mr. Killemall and immediately recognized him by the side of the road as he was busy destroying more olive trees. Before Mr. Olivetree could stop him, Chico ran up and kicked Killemall right in the nuts. 

Details are still fuzzy at this time, but sources have speculated that Chico and his owner fled to Iran, rather than face the death penalty.  Mossad agents tracked the two fugitives deep inside Iran but, despite three attempts, were unable to assassinate the pair.  It is thought that the Israeli government decided to nuke Tehran in order to punish Mr. Olivetree and Chico.  More as the story develops!

The unthinkable happened today when Israel dropped a nuclear bomb on Tehran!  It is estimated that at least two million Iranians were immediately killed; the city of Tehran was obliterated.

"We had our reasons and our decision to defend ourselves will not be questioned", shouted Bibi Netenyahu during a press conference.  Cries of disbelief and a call for justice came from every civilized leader in the world with the exception of the AIPAC-controlled United States. 

President Obama called the incident "unfortunate" and told reporters at an emergency meeting at the White House that, "We stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel, as always.  I'm sure they had a good reason for dropping a nuclear device on Tehran.  They have a right to defend themselves!"

Congress immediately attacked Obama for his use of the word "unfortunate" to describe Israel's actions.  VP Joe Biden, a self-proclaimed Zionist, apologized to Israel for Obama's remark and told them that, because they dropped a nuclear bomb on Iran without telling him first, the president was understandably upset and confused.  Israel's defense minister Ehud "kill them all" Barak called Obama's use of the word, "unfortunate" excessive and told Biden that they were eagerly awaiting an official apology from President Obama.

Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) called on congress to quickly pass a, "Israel Nuked Them" national holiday, but his AIPAC handler quickly reminded him that, even though Israel did drop a fat one on Tehran, they still hadn't admitted to having nuclear weapons.  "Brad is very exctitable when it comes to Israel", was the official word from Sherman's office. 

Another fanatical Zionist, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, stated that, "Israel has a right to defend itself.  If a few Arabs have to die, then so be it!"  When the press corps reminded Ms. Clinton that Iranians aren't Arab, she just shrugged her shoulders and assured the crowd that Israel knows what it's doing.

Congressman Brad Sherman Declares War on Iran

Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), speaking in Washington today, delcared war on Iran. "I know that I can't get our armed forces to actually attack until we go through the annoying process of talking about it first, but gee-wiz, AIPAC is getting cranky with me", whined Sherman. Pictured addressing a crowd, Sherman appeared to be very nervous that the US hadn't attacked Iran yet, despite clear orders from Israel.

"This Giant Squid Hamas/Iran thingy should be enough evidence for us to act on already. What more could the president possibly need in order to proceed? After all, we attacked Iraq based on what Israel told us and that has worked out really nicely for us", gushed Sherman. As evidence from Mossad continued to mount, AIPAC controlled newpapers and media hammered away at the American public. "What's good for Israel is good for us", claimed FoxNews, "The Wall Street Journal" and just about every other media owned by Rupert Murdoch.

editor's note - Congressman Sherman had an American flag lapel pin on, but it was hidden by the microphone. Sherman's people were very concerned that the congressman was surrounded by Israeli flags in the middle of downtown Washington, DC without one single American flag showing! Mossad Ties Hamas & Iran to Giant Squid

Israel's intelligence agency Mossad today revealed more evidence linking Hamas and Iran to the recent Giant Squid attacks (see other stories). In the latest photo, captured during a daring Israeli commando raid, Iranian scientists are seen bathing an adolescent squid in radioactive water at one of their secret nuclear facilities. "We believe that the radioactive waste water is crucial to the final stage of development", explained Mossad scientist Wannabe Mengele (no relation to Josef).

The evidence is building daily that Palestinians and Iranian scientists have been working together for decades; Hamas reportedly took over the experiments in 1987. According to Mossad, newborn babies are being kidnapped from Israeli hospitals by Hamas terrorists and spirited away to a secret Iranian nuclear plant. The babies are then bonded to a specially bred squid and the resulting hybrid squid is then subjected to radioactive baths to accelerate their growth. It is thought that the babies are taken from Israel because they probably won't eat shellfish, but this has not been confirmed.

In a speech given before the US congress, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak expressed his concern that the US hasn't attacked Iran yet. "This matter deserves your immediate attention before we are attacked by an army of Giant Squid", cried Barak. Congress quickly voted to attack Iran, while AIPAC representatives collected the ballots to ensure a fair count. However, President Obama vetoed the declaration of war on Iran, citing really shitty intelligence from Israel about Iraq. Obama could not be reached for comment as he is hiding in a nuclear bunker, fearing for his life after daring to oppose Israel's orders.

Barak vowed to continue to release more evidence linking Palestinians and Iran to the Giant Squid. Barak had intended to visit other countries to seek support, but his friends advised against it because (as with many Israeli politicians) most countries would arrest him for war crimes if he was stupid enough to try and visit.

Mossad Uncovers Deadly Hamas/Iran Plot

In what can only be described as a bizarre plot to create a hybrid human squid, Mossad announced today that it has uncovered overwhelming evidence that Hamas, with backing from Iraninan scientists, has been conducting sinister research for years. "We can say with 100% assurance that we can now prove that Hamas and Iranian scientists have developed a secret weapon capable of MASS DESTRUCTION!", cried Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

Apparently, the Giant Squid that was responsible for the attack on the USS Liberty, Gaza Flotilla and Americans at a hockey game, is actually the result of a fiendish plot to create a secret weapon. Babies kidnapped from Israeli hospitals by Hamas terrorists have been taken to a secret lab in Iran for experimentation. The beta test squid was released decades ago and has been responsible for several known disastrous attacks.

Dr. Wannabe Mengele (no relation to Josef), of the Israeli Special Science branch of Mossad has been able to piece the puzzle together by examining photographs of children being mutated by radioactive squid. The photograph above was captured during a raid by Israelis at a secret Iranian facility.

In a statement released by Mossad News, Barak is calling for a nuclear attack on Iran. "We have the proof now and we need to act immediately. The United States has a responsibility to obliterate Iran before it lets these Giant Squids loose on the world", shouted Barak from the floor of the Knesset. Congressional AIPAC puppets have called for an immediate attack on Iran. Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), surrounded by AIPAC bodyguards, raced to the airport to board a plane for Tel-Aviv to receive his orders. "This affects all Americans and especially my constituents in Israel", Sherman noted on the way to the airport.

News will be released as it becomes available. However, Barak has promised to provide the media with overwhelming evidence that Iran and Hamas are planning to take over the world. When asked if he thought the US would enjoy the same success in Iran as it has in Iraq, Barak just laughed. "I know we lied to you about WMDs in Iraq to get you to attack, but this is different", shouted an angry Barak.

USS Liberty Was Attacked by Giant Squid

In 1967, Israel was accused of torpedoing, bombing and naplaming the USS Liberty in broad daylight. It was thought that Israel was trying to sink the ship and make the US believe that Egypt had attacked it, hoping to drag the US into a war (as Israel forced us to attack Iraq). However, new evidence uncovered by Mossad agents now proves that a Giant Squid attacked the USS Liberty and that Israeli war planes were actually trying to save the crew!

"It's all been a tragic misunderstanding", cried Israel's Defense Minister and Terrorist Ehud Barak. "We're so glad to finally put this behind us and move on." Barak also pledged to investigate rumors that Palestinian scientists created the Giant Squid as a secret weapon to attack Israel and its friends.

Since it was discovered that the Giant Squid just recently attacked the Gaza Flotilla and fans at a hockey game in Washington, DC last year, stories and theories have been flooding us from the Zionist propaganda media. In Washington, politicians have rejoiced at the news that they no longer have to cover up the attack on the USS Liberty. "We're very relieved to be able to finally discuss the tragic loss of American lives in public, now that we have proof that Israel didn't attack us back in '67", shouted several AIPAC puppets from the floor of the senate. Congressmen quickly passed a bill calling for, "Israel Saved the USS Liberty" national holiday.

No official acknowledgement of the attack on the USS Liberty has ever been allowed because all the evidence pointed to Israel as the attacker. Now that there is proof that the Giant Squid attacked the ship, politicians are pushing for a memorial park and statue honoring the Americans who died. Survivors of the USS Liberty massacre held a press conference where they insisted that the Giant Squid story was a lie. However, none of the networks or news agencies covered their conference - go figure.

It's a good bet that we haven't seen the last of this Giant Squid. We will continue to follow this story and we can't wait for more information from Ehud Barak and Mossad as they investigate the allegations that Palestinian scientists actually created the monster. When asked why the Giant Squid would attack the Gaza Flotilla if it was created by Palestinians, Barak responded that, "Perhaps they have lost control of it, much like Dr. Frankenstein lost control of his monster?"

Sherman and AIPAC Accuse Corrie of Being a Terrorist!

Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) and his patron, pro-Israel lobby AIPAC, have announced that they have found evidence that Rachel Corrie was a terrorist. Apparently Corrie (see picture), along with Palestinian scientists, had developed a hybrid tree root system that was capable of attacking innocent Israeli Army bulldozers. "You can clearly see the roots tangling in the bulldozer. Unfortunately for Corrie, these same roots tangled her foot and pulled the dozer over her, as the soldier desperately tried to avoid hitting her", stated Sherman.

When asked why the bulldozer backed up over Corrie to make sure she was dead, Sherman stated that the hybrid tree roots were dangerous and unpredictable. "Unfortunately for Corrie, they turned on her just like poor Dr. Frankenstein's creation did."

Sherman has also introduced a bill into congress, making it a crime to mention Corrie's name in public. "Any US citizen who dares to mention this terrorist's name will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law", shouted an angry Sherman during his inspired speech on the floor of congress. Sherman received an enthusiastic standing ovation as top representatives of AIPAC looked on from their private gallery.

As follow-up to an earlier story about a Giant Angry Squid, Sherman also stated that it would also be a violation of the Patriot Act for any American citizen to claim that the squid didn't exist. "Any American citizen who publicly denies the existence of the Angry Squid or who insists that the Gaza flotilla was attacked by Israeli commandos will be sent to a federal holding facility for evaluation and indoctrination", claimed Sherman.

This just in: Israeli Defense Minister (and terrorist) Ehud Barak announced today that the Israeli commandos who slaughtered 9 members of the Gaza humanitarian aid flotilla were only trying to save their lives. "Our forces detected a giant squid in the area and we were afraid that it would attack the flotilla, since it had so much food on board. Our soldiers are heroes; many more lives would have been lost if they hadn't acted quickly to drive the giant squid away. We truly regret the loss of life during our heroic rescue of the flotilla!!" When asked why Israel initially tried to say that the flotilla was carrying weapons, not food, Barak merely shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

Later, pro-Israel lobbyists at AIPAC allowed US senators and congressmen to release a picture of the squid as it tried to attack fans at a hockey game last year in Washington, DC. (see above) Rahm Emmanuel, White House chief of staff and son of an Israeli Irgun Gang terrorist and AIPAC Stooge Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) immediately introduced a bill into congress, "Israeli Commando Hero Day". It was so popular that Congress didn't even have to put it to a vote. Attached is a photo of the giant squid that placed American lives in jeopardy and violated our beloved Patriot Act! Reporter Helen Thomas could not be reached for comment. Her secretary stated that Ms. Thomas is conducting an independent investigation of the squid.
